After EffectsIn class, we have not spent much time using the software After Effects. However, I got fairly comfortable with it when we were making our Motion Graphics. This software allows you take still images and merge them together to make a video. For my Motion Graphic, I followed the assignment's rubric while also adding some additional images and affects to the video including music and even some anime characters. Overall, I enjoyed using After Effects, and I wish that we could've spent more time with this software and studied it more in depth. AnimateFor Animate, we have not had much experience with this software either, and I am just now getting comfortable with it. This software allows you to take an image and alter it using key frames to present the illusion of motion. In class we have been working on animating a monster with Animate, and there is a plethora of components and tools I have to learn about that come with it. I feel that if I get more experience and time with this software, that I'll grow to like it all the more. PremiereWe have just recently gotten familiar with the software Premiere, and I personally enjoyed our Digital Audio/Video overview assignment. In my opinion, I prefer working with Premiere over After Effects and Animate. This software allows you to synthesize still images into a video that can include audio. When we did the assignment, I got really comfortable using the tools and I like the software's layout. I look forward to using Premiere in the future, and learning about its components and tools more in depth. Compare and ContrastBased on personal experience and preference, I would like to use Premiere more often in the near future. If I had to use the three software, or even just After Effects and Animate, I would not complain. However, if I was given the choice of the three, I would definitely pick Premiere. In my opinion, I just really feel that this software is what best suits me. I enjoy using all three software, but working with Premiere does not seem as cumbersome as using the other. I hope to continue to use all three in the future to better expand my knowledge and experience in the digital design and animation industry.

Common in many popular games, Idle Animations have been used in more games and animations than thought to be. An idle animation is an animation present when the visible character is not in motion. Many games posses this type of animation like Super Smash Bros Ultimate or Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon. Out of the idle animations from What makes a great idle animation? Devs share their favorites, the idle animation of Mario sleeping was my favorite with Aladdin as a close second. The animation itself is not all that appealing, however, I have grown up playing Mario games and it just made me giggle. It is very entertaining seeing how Mario and his Idle Animations have so drastically changed over the years. Now, with more realistic graphics, Mario's Idle Animations are made to have movements and external factors that make it seem even closer to reality. It is interesting how the animators created this Idle Animation, because the shadow under Mario moves along with him creating the illusion of motion. It also appears that there was a hint of perspective to make it seem like Mario was realistically falling towards the gamer. Assuming that I stay with the Game Art Design for the rest of my high school experience, I would like to play around with making little idle animations like the one above.
